Whats been happening this week

This morning Vane came in from ASB to talk to us about financial banking and how it works. He talked to us about how credit cards take money from the bank and how eftpos cards use your own money to buy things.

We played a game and the goal was to have the most money at the end. Each team was given 1,600 dollars for their trip to Samoa. We had to buy the tickets, decide if we were going to buy insurance then we had to make a paper plane and fly it. Whatever plane went the futherest went straight to Samoa, second flew to Fiji then to Samoa the last team flew through two other countries before they got to Samoa.

...THIS WAS LOTS OF FUN...

This term we have been focusing on Scotland for our Novelty Sports Day, sadly this has been cancelled due to predicted bad weather. Room 8 have had a lot of fun with this, we have been going deep into Scotland and we have learnt about haggis. Haggis is a food which is made out of sheeps heart, liver and lungs coated in sheeps intestines.
