Welcome back to term 3!
Can you believe it's term 3 already? Where has half the year gone?
We have another very busy term ahead, so keep checking our blog weekly!
Thank you to the parents who were able to make the parent/teacher/student conferences. We had a great turn out and your efforts to find out where the children are at with their learning is appreciated. It is a very busy term once again and here is a brief overview of our learning this term.
Theme: Our bodies - focusing on the skeletal system, respiratory system, drugs and alcohol and puberty.
Literacy: Information Report, Poetry.
Numeracy: Multiplication and Division.
P.E - Badminton, soccer, games, rugby.
Library - Fiction and Non fiction books.
Te - Reo - Our Bodies.
Spanish - No's 10 - 20, asking what your name is? Asking where are you from?
Watch out for: Each monday the children write down what is happening in their diaries. It is expected that their diaries are signed by a parent or caregiver on Monday night.
Some important things to remember:
Coming up:
Week three:
-
Room 2 will be visiting the life Education Van in week 3 for our drug and alcohol education.
-
Room two have qualified for the quarter finals in the volleyball! Good luck room 2.
Week Four

-
Homework due on Friday
HOMEWORK:
A reminder that homework is due every second Friday on even weeks. It is expected that the children complete their homework of a high standard. They are given two weeks to complete and it is expected that the chosen topic is researched and completed in their own words.
Each week the chidlren are given new spelling words. It is expected they learn these words for homework. It is also expected that each student continues their reading each night. Your support is appreciated.
Thank you,
Amanda Steensen
