We have been doing lots of things at the end of the term. We have been doing lots of tests like the Star test and English tests. We are studying our Te Reo words for the up-coming mastery test.
We also are doing maths with Louisa with our teacher Mr Kerr who is starting the teaching of Proportions and Ratios. We were having a novelty sports day on the October 5th, but it was cancelled because of forecasted rain. We also have been selecting our options one and two programmes for next term.
Mr Kerr is taking 21 students and 4 other staff to Japan on Thursday for a trip of a lifetime. There will be plenty of culture and language to learn and we look forward to hearing about all their travels when they return. If you want to see what is happening with the Japan trip follow the Japan trip link on the school homepage.
We also started learning about Enviornmental Sustainability and we have started to think about how to put to use many of the things that will be left over after the rugby world cup. Things like plastic bottles, cans, card and paper will all be left with us when everyone leaves so what are we going to do with it all and more importantly, how can we use it to sustain our environment more??
This thinking will help make us Global citizens and ties into our unit next Term.
Have a good break everyone and we will see you again next Term.
Oh and also I have been at Violin for most of the session so will upload some more photos soon,
Mike.
