Term 4 Week 3

Hi welcome back to Room 11. This term is very busy as we have just had our annual Havlock North Exchange.  A group of students travelled to Havlock North and participated in Orchestra, Choir and Kapa Haka and the rest of the students stayed at school and participated in our Havlock North Alternative program.  There was heaps of exciting things being made and done around the school.

We are now in our last week of term and it is very busy with final assesments in all classrooms. The Japan group is departing this Thursday and we will be having our mufti day for kids that have had no or one detention. In Miss Hodges option group this term they been making toast as they had to write about the steps to making a piece of toast.

This week we have had our variety concert. A number of our students participated in this event. They were in a number of events including Choir, Kapa Haka, Orchestra, Rock Band and some of this years Talent Quest Finalists. We played on Monday to all the contributing schools and today we will be playing to members of the public.

This year our main focus has been Japan as that is what our class is studying because of the Rugby World Cup.

In Room 11 this week we have the open night coming up which is going to be a lot of fun. It is where the year 6 students get a chance to see the school.
