 yes we are very very excited to start a 7 and a half week term. were already into week 3 and it is going great. we have got outdoor education week next week and we are all getting very excited about it all.

Our Religion Voice Threads

This term our class has been looking at different religions around the world.  The Year 8's have developed Voicethreads about some of these religions. They provide some information about each religion, how they developed and why they are important to the people that practice them.

Over the past week in Room1 we have had a very funny 'nek minute' assembly and Mr Mailman's farewell assembly from which the orchestra, choir, kapa haka and the rock band performed.

We have been tested a whole lot over the past week, we have had

  • the star test which is reading skills,
  • the GAP test which is litiracy,
  • the PAT test which is a mathematics test,
  • and the hand writing test.

Every one has done extremely well in these tests epecially the star test.

There hasn't been a video on the blog in quite a while- but that's because we were working on the best one yet!

With the original purpose of being a tribute to Mr Mailman, the movie quickly turned into an epic spy movie- hence the note at the end.

Room 1 blog update

In Room 1 over the past week or so we have had Jackson go to Watermans rugby tournament.  The tournament was held in Upper Hutt and the team worked really hard and finished 2nd overall.

We are studying Fiji in Room 1 because it is our country for the novely sports day the school is having at the end of this day.  We have absolutely covered our wall with Fijian things like flags, boxing gloves and even lava lava's.
