Term 2 in Room 8

Movement through the World: In Room 8 this  term we have written Information Reports on a Spanish Speaking country. We are using the Literature Circle format to get deeper into our Reading. The class chose either Viola Vincent Reporting, Boyznbikes or Whale Pot Bay, and they have been enjoying reading and discussing the story.

In P.E. we have been enjoying the fine weather with Large Ball skills in Netball, Basketball and inside Volleyball. Many of Room 8 are involved in the Havelock North Exchange and are busy training with their teams.

In Maths we are increasing our Addition, Subtraction skills.

Current Events are continuing to highlight that Natural Disasters are a real threat to our World. We will look deeper to how and why they occur and our next writing will be a Discussion on this. Many students are involved in the 40 / 20 Hour Famine this weekend. Good luck.
