Room 7 Week 10
This is the last week of term 3 and is also Mr Mailmans last week. The whole school had a farewell for Mr Mailman on Friday, there were great performances from the orchestra, choir, rock band and spine chilling performances from the kapa haka group. It was quite emotional and Miss Rijnaarts even broke out in a few tears. There will be a free mufti day on Friday for those with 1 or 0 detentions this term.
At the moment Room 7 has been working on response writing, a response is when you evaluate something and put your opinion. It consists of a context, linking sentence, recount that has three sentences, your judgement and a conclusion that repeats the linking sentence.
Room 7 for maths has been working on measurement, measurement can be lots of different things from weight, height, temperature and heaps of other things. There are many formulas, one of them is base x height, we have been learning lots and will try to get the best score possible for our measurement assessment.
As you know from the recent blogs Room 7 is learning lots about Argentina. Here is a new chant we have come up with.
''BRRR IT'S COLD IN HERE THERE
MUST BE SOME PUMAS IN THE ATMOSPHERE
I SAID BRRR''.
