Room 8 at the LIFE ED BUS

This term our school has been lucky enough to have Harold and Charlotte in the Life Ed bus teaching us about drugs and all the bad things they do to your body.  We are also learning about the changes during puberty. During our time on the bus we played 1 2 3 where you have to say a number but if two people say a number at the same time they sit down and you start a new round.  Yesterday in Circle Time we continued to improve and we got over 20. Yah!

An important thing that we learnt in the bus was that drugs influence your body and everybody can react differently. Alcohol is a commonly abused drug. There were some powerful points made.

We learnt about what happens when people get on a high and that every one has a natural feel good drug called dopamine that gives you a natural high and any drugs legal or illegal can kill you or if you get caught abusing them you can get fined and jailed, and of course we all enjoyed Harold.
