Room 7s study on poverty

Poverty

1 billion people live in poverty every day.

1.1 billion are living with no homes.

Poverty is when people are living each day with out the basic nessecities of life such as clean water, clothing, medicens and shelter. It is also when people (children) have been sent away to earn money for their familys.

In Vietnam $1.60 would buy 1 half a loaf of bread ,cabbage and rice to feed a family of three.
In Mexico $1.60 could buy enough beans, rice and mince to feed a family of four.

We have learnt that things like the world famine helps by raising money to support those people to get the basic needs that they don't already have.Room 7 done the famine and together we raised $681.30 Wow! Mrs Martin said what an efort!!
