Room 10 Term 2

2010 FIFA World Cup

Our focus for term 2 this year has been the FIFA World Cup. We have been studying indevidual countries and have been keeping track of the New Zealand All Whites. Year 7 students have produced a keynote about a indevidual countries and their teams. While the year 8's have been working with Mrs Kerr our computer teacher to create a News Report using a green screen. We have also made flags representing thier countries these flags look great.

Report Writing

As our literacy focus tis term we wrote and published a report on the subject "South Africa and the FIFA World Cup". These reports have turned out really well.

Room 10 vs Room 9 Te-Reo competition

This term for our Nga-Tae Te Reo unit Room 10 has challenged to Room 9 in a Te Reo Battle. We plan to take out the title of Masters of Te Reo with Mr T as our personal coach. Room 10 are ready to win.

Our Class

For 8 weeks this term Room 10 have had a trainee teacher in our class. Mr Newport was a great help to our learning and kept us focused on the World Cup. Our class counsilers are Matariki and Sean. They have been busy organising our class with everyday things.

Physical Education

In P.E we have been doing winter sports and social dance. The winter sports include Touch Rugby, Netball, Basketball and Volleyball      

We have been very busy this term. Stay tuned to see what exciting things we endeaver next term.
