Cartoon Drawing and Term 4

This morning we were very lucky to have a visitor to our school. Room 3 and Syndicate 1 spent an hour this morning working with NZ author and illustrator Stu Duvall.  Mr Duvall is a regular visitor at our school and takes part in our Writers Camp each year. Today he worked with us to teach us how to draw simple cartoon faces and images.  We used letters, numbers and shapes to begin our cartoons and we all did a great job.

Here are some photos of us taking part in the workshop:

Next week (Week 4) is Outdoor Education Week and all students have been informed of which group they are in, what activities they will be participating in and the required gear to bring.  It is important that they refer to this sheet daily so they are at school at the required time each morning to leave for their activity and so they have everything they need for a fun and safe day.  There is still some outstanding money and consent forms that need to come into school and these need to be in for your child to participate.  Outdoor Ed Week is a compulsory part of our school curriculum and is an enjoying time where students are challenged by choice.  Please pray for fine weather for us for this week.
