Here are some of them:
All about New Zealand's Sea Shore by Dave Gunson
Published by: New Holland
RRP: $24.99
Reviewed by: Ciarn Chapman aged 12
Hi, my name is Ciarn. I think this book is good. The reef star is one of the larger sea stars, it can grow up to 30 cm across and certainly is one of the hardiest. It likes to feed on green mussels which usually live on low-tide rocks that are pounded by strong waves. This star is usually seen with 10-15 arms!
I think this book would be good for children that are doing projects or learning about the seashore.
Barack Obama: The Making of a President
It drives you right in the book is all about Barack Obama's life and how he successfully bacame the President of the USA. He grew up in Hawaii, his father left when he was only two years of age. His nickname is Barry. He enjoys basketball, he's a great shooter. His made up move is the Barry O'Bomber, he also loves boarding. I rate this book 5 stars out of 5 because it 's my kind of book.

The Young Bond Dossier
This is a series but this book is one part of it. These books are about the young James Bond. At the start of the book it's really confusing but when you get to James Bond it's quite cool.
It talks about a girl he likes and how he's going away and how they are close together because she saved his life. He goes on a trip with his Aunty Charmaine and realised his adventure has just begun.....
Jellybean by Tessa Duder

The story is about a girl called 'Geraldine' whose mother plays in the orchestra. Everything in the book is about family life, music and mystery.
The book is very interesting to read especially for people who love music. I enjoyed the book and it was fun to read. I would recommend this book to people who love music and those who lead a basic family life and those who like a myster. The bit I enjoyed was the end when the mystery was solved.
Lost in the Bush

This book is about a boy called Sam and he goes to find some plums for his pudding. Sam's dog Tuffy rips the leash out of Sam's hand and chases a hare off into the bush. Then Sam goes to look for Tuffy and all of a sudden he loses himself in the bush. I liked this book because it teaches you how to survive in the bush. There is a part which tells you some good survival techniques.
Sheep With Boots: by Maritgen Matter and Jan Jutte
This is a children's book that has been translated from another language. This book is funny in parts because the wolf is cunning and charming. The wolf fools the sheep to come on a trip with him to a placed called Experience. The sheep is very silly to believe. I enjoyed thsi book because I liked the characters and it was a nice story. I would give this book a rating of 7 out of 10. This story will appeal to people who enjoy short stories.
The Boy In The Burning House: by Tim Wynne-Jones
Jim Hawkins is a thirteen year old boy who lives with his mum on a farm. Ruth Rose is the step daugher of the local preacher Father Fisher. The disappearance of Jim's father Hub Hawkins is a complete mystery. Until Ruth finds Jim and tells him her suspicions about how her step father killed Jim's dad.
I thought this book was alright. It is suitable for younger children. There is a little bit of bad language that is alright.
