Room 7's blog

This is the last week of term 3 and is also Mr Mailmans last week.  The whole school had a farewell for Mr Mailman on Friday, there were great performances from the orchestra, choir, rock band and spine chilling performances from the kapa haka group.  It was quite emotional and Miss Rijnaarts even broke out in a few tears.  There will be a free mufti day on Friday for those with 1 or 0 detentions this term.

At the moment Room 7 is doing syndicate P.E with Room 5, Room 6 and Room 8. We are doing this because we want syndicate 2 to do really well and to achieve in athletics which will be held next term.  The rotations that we are dong are shot put, long jump, high jump and also discuss.

Room 7 is Argentina for the Rugby World Cup and we are learning alot about the culture and their ways for the novelty sports day that is coming up in term 4.  We have worked on signs, chants and much more that is being made.  A chant that I know of is

This term Room 7 has been looking at the two sided question ''Does money make us happy?'' please leave your opinion or answer.

Room 7 and 8 at the moment are  running two reading groups, one is called AVAILL, the other group is working with Miss Rijnaarts.
