What primary school did you go to?

Kids . . . . . get thinking about what primary school you went to and the interesting things about that school.

Our theme topic this term is ' ourselves and our school' and 'Early Wairarapa'. In room 6 we will be looking at these two topics together, 'ourselves and our schools'. So get thinking about the interesting things about your old school. For year 8's who are returning, you can also think about the school you were at before MIS.

Term Two

Wow - Already half way through the term. What a busy but fun term we have had.

In Room 9 this term we are focusing on the Soccer World Cup with students studying countries that are participating. We will be writing explanation and response pieces of writing that relate directly to the Soccer World Cup.

Students will also be given the opportunity to create a cup art piece that reflects their countries culture, langauge and history.

Welcome back to Term 2

I trust you all had a nice easter break and maybe for some of you a wee holiday.

Term 2 brings us a range of fun activites and sports tournaments,

I am encouraging students to get involved in the many activites avaliable to help them stay focused as term two is 11 weeks this term.

Our classroom topic is soccer world cup - this relates to our term theme of 'movement in our world'. This week students will be selecting a country from the soccer world cup to research. Tasks they will undertake this term are some of the following

Check our our winning quarter finals non stop cricket team. We now play room 5 in the semi finals - GO ROOM 9

Kia Ora and Welcome to 2010

Welcome to Room 9's blog page

We have made a great start to the year in Room 9. We have established ourselves and have adjusted well to rules and rouitnes at Masterton Intermediate School.

We began with a class goal of getting to know one an other. We also as a class won one of our inter class non stop cricket games. We are now playing room 10 on Monday in the quarter finals - watch this space.
